Building 2: 742,708 sq. ft.
Situation: A commercial plaza experienced high failure rates and subsequent high maintenance costs for their existing joy vane axial fans. Due to the fan’s suspended location, the situation would have required extensive demolition. Reinstalling AC fans, even ones with VFDs? Out of the question. The client tasked Q-PAC with developing a unique, multi-array fan system solution to meet the situation’s challenging control, performance, and redundancy requirements. The limited space would be a true test of Q-PAC’s flexibility and adaptability.
A high-impact solution for a unique space.
Q-PAC’s solution met the plaza’s design and performance requirements. The modular fan array systems with lightweight components made installation for the contractors simple and fast. The system’s design flexibility achieved installation in existing housings with no fans, resulting in a smaller footprint. The varying ECM fan array systems delivered reliability through redundancy, a 45% reduction in monthly electricity expenses, and saved $80,000 in annual maintenance costs.
